Hello Deb,
When I run cytology smears I start them at buffer and join them with my
regular paraffins at the H2O2 step.

When I get them, usually I get them in water, I put them in buffer. In
the mean time my paraffins are deparaffinzing to water and getting
pretreated as necessary and go into buffer and H2O2 with the smears.
