Scott,
Tissue-Tek makes cryomold and you can make a nice block surrounded
by the OCT. There has been a lot of disscussion as to the content of OCT and
I have ignored most of it as it is irrelevant to what I do. I have cut thick
sections up to 50um of mouse brain and the major problem is cracking. I have
found I have to increase the temperature for thicker sections. I might be of
more help if I knew what was going to be done with the tissue after you cut.
