I think the discussions here on violence in the workplace are important.  I'm giving a half day workshop at nationals this year on the subject.  Work is the number one place where women are killed.  Some of the other statistics are staggering.  There are usually signs and indicators that a person may become violent.  It's all about prevention, being aware and not being afraid of overreacting.  It's better to overreact than to be dead.  I agree that Vinnie's workshop was very good and pertinent.  Thanks Vinnie, for addressing this important problem.
My sympathies to those close to this recent tragedy.
