Position openings - RTP, NC
Pathology Associates International (PAI) of Durham/RTP, North Carolina is in
search of a histology supervisor. Work involves a variety of tasks including
supervision of the processing of animal tissues for microscopic examination,
to include processing, paraffin embedding, cutting of paraffin sections, and
staining/coverslipping/labeling of slides. The responsibility also includes
Quality Control and necropsy supervision; scheduling and cross-training staff
to accommodate fluctuating workflow. The supervisor is responsible for
on-going training and monitoring of staff for adequate skill level and
adherence to SOP's and GLP requirements. Position to provide supervision of
technical support staff assigned in any variety tasks in the histology
laboratory. The applicant should have the minimum of HT certification with
previous laboratory experience in processing, trimming, embedding and
sectioning (3-20 microns) and special stains. Mathematical and computer
skills along with demonstrated experience in managing projects are important
considerations. Previous supervisory experience required.
PAI-RTP/NC is recruiting for a Histology Technician to join our
histopathology team.
Responsible for all aspects of the preparation of histopathology
slides-including necropsy, tissue trimming, processing, embedding, microtomy,
staining (routine and special stains), and coverslipping for paraffin
sections. Duties also include documentation of procedures and maintaining
study files. The applicant should be minimum of HT certification-eligible
with previous laboratory experience in processing, trimming, embedding and
sectioning (3-20 microns) and special stains.
Pathology Associates International (PAI), North Carolina Lab, is seeking an
electron microscopy technician/trainee to support our team in Research
Triangle Park. The candidate should be flexible, organized, and have the
ability to work well with others. The candidate will be trained in aspects
of the preparation of TEM samples-including tissue trimming, processing,
embedding, ultramicrotomy, staining grids, examination of specimens on the
electron microscope, and darkroom. Duties also include documentation of
procedures and maintaining study files. Required education: BS/BA in a life
science. Electron microscopy experience preferred. GLP experience desired.
