Special thanks to both Alan Bright and Gayle Callis for your replys to my
original question.
Mr. Bright i'm not sure if we have independent specimen control. I think
our microtome only has chamber temp. control. We have the IEC Minotome
Microtome Cryostat digital model #2488. And to Ms. Callis we do have an
antiroll plate and the brush.
However, additionally I am wondering if either of you or someone else
know if specimen size and/or section thickness are major contributing
factors? I noticed on yesterday that a couple of the articles I refered
to sectioned brain at 20um and/or 40um. I section everything at 8um and
my samples are usually 1.5cm.x1.0cm. Is there a standard for brain frozen
sections?
Thanks,
Atoska S. Gentry
