Cliff:

	Shrinkage is very dependent on fixation, as well as dehydration, time
in solvents, etc. Much of the experimental work on fixatives was done by
J.R. Baker in the 1940's and 1950's. Try his (long out of print) book
"Principles of Biological Microtechnique", Wiley 1958.
