Dear HistoNetters,
I have been away from my coimputer due to a death in the family, so
please forgive the belated response to Francie Gallery's suggestions for
using a vibrating blade microtome to section rat spinal cord.
Orientation can be a bother with these instruments, so we develpoed a
rotating and tilting stage for the Vibratome and other vibrating blade
microtomes. We also invented a glass specimen retriever to pick up the
sections from the buffer bath, and a removable trough. These items are
available from any Vibratome distributor (including Energy Beam Sciences).
Best regards,
Steven E. Slap, Vice-President
