**************** CALL FOR PAPERS ****************

It is my privilege to inform you that I have been invited to serve as
Scientific Editor of Histo-Logic (published by Sakura-Finetek), the
most widely read Histotechnical Bulletin that has served the
discipline for over 27 years. I am honored to follow a number of very
distinguished editors who have established a tradition of excellence
and I am exhilarated at the opportunity to serve you, the
Histotechnology community, by providing you with timely and relevant
technical and scientific information.

I would like to encourage you to think of Histo-Logic as YOUR
publication and I hope that you will not hesitate to let me know
how Histo-Logic might better meet your needs.

I encourage everyone to consider preparing an article for
publication. As we often see on Histonet, every idea, technique
modification, explanation of theory or simple trick of the trade is
of value to someone. Unfortunately, even in this electronic age, not
everyone who could benefit from Histonet has access to it and so
Histo-Logic continues to be an important means to fill this need.

I recognize that for some, the thought of writing for publication
may be intimidating. I am happy to offer my assistance to
prepare an idea for print to anyone who has something he/she would
like to share with their colleagues if you are not comfortable
writing it yourself. If you haven't experienced it, it is always a
thrill to see one's name in print.

Histo-Logic is published twice a year, each Spring and Fall. Articles
may cover a wide range of topics that are relevant and of interest to
the Histotechnology community.

For those who may be interested, you can view back issues of
Histo-Logic by visiting Sakura's website at

http://www.sakuraus.com/

Please feel free to contact me with your ideas or topics.

As a new feature to Histo-Logic, I will be spotlighting a
different laboratory in each issue. This is your opportunity to tell
us, your colleagues about your laboratory's operation and challenges.
An accompanying photo will allow us to put a face to those names we
see every day on Histonet. Perhaps you would like to see your lab
featured. An article such as this can be a fun project for your lab's
staff to collaborate on.

I hope that you will considering joining me in making Histo-Logic the
very best that it can be.
