The University of Chicago Hospitals has a full time position available
for a Chief Histotechnologist. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree
from an accredited college or university in histology/chemistry or other
lab science. Certification as HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) required,
certification in EMSA a plus. Five years experience with a minimum of two
years supervising a large (five +) staff of Histotechnologists.

Responsibilities include: supervision of technical staff; training and
development; evaluations; CAP compliance; updating and writing
policies/procedures and team building. Demonstrated ability to use
computers for data entry, retrieval and statistical analysis.
