We do an Osmium dissolved in FC-72  ( ie. non aqueous ) fixation 
and then go straight to 100% EtOH ,then  actone as transition  to 
Epon.   
    I am not wedded to Epon but have to stick with the OsO4 + FC-
72 as my fix.

      Did you try osmium at all?
