      AO or American Optical was absorbed into Leica-Microsystems family.
While the 925 sharpener was replaced approximately fifteen years ago, the
consumables i.e. hone glass compound cat.# 14041819702 and replacement
plates cat. # 14041819971 are still available from Leica-Microsystems. If

I have an "old " AO microtome knife sharpener Model 925.  I need new glass
plates or someone who reconditions the old ones.  According to the manual -
there is a glass resurfacing assembly but over the years - it has gone
away?  Who takes care of AO equipment nowadays?  Any help will be
appreciated.
