RE: double label IHC stains for skin biopsies

From:"Cummings, Lori Ann"

Double, triple, and quadruple staining is quite simple to perform with the
various kits out there. I am currently using DakoCytomation's Envision
Doublestain for a variety of antibodies. I generally perform a double stain
utilizing DAB and Vector VIP purple with a methyl green counterstain.

The results may be quanitated by any number of image analyzers
(Chromavision, Applied Imaging, etc).
Our lab will do this as a referral test if you are interested. Please
contact me if you have any questions.

Subject: double label IHC stains for skin biopsies

Does anyone know of a lab which can perform double label IHC stains
involving a different chromagen for each of the two labels: CD4+CD45RO+
(UCHL-1) and CD8+CD45RO+ (UCHL-1) on formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue
or on frozen tissue? Is there a way to quantitate these, or must one do a
semiquantitative examination by estimating the percentage of positive cells?

Thanks for your help. These have been requested as part of a research
project for a drug trial.
