Loriann,
I had the same request from a pathologist
here. He wanted to perfuse the tissue then stain it without any further processing
. After much investigation, without
much in the way of information, he has shelved the idea for the time being. He
was interested in using ORO as well.
Good luck.

Subject: Protocol for plauque
stain on aorta and heart?
Hello,
The lab I work for has been asked to perform a stain on the aorta and heart
tissue (animal tissue) looking for plauques. My suppervisor believed she had
done this in the past on non embeded tissues. I searched through the histonet
archives, however I was unable to open the "hits" to obtain more
information. I believe this may either be en face staining or ORO staning. If
anyone knows of protocols for the processing and staining of these tissues we
would greatly appreciate your help. Also, if there are issues with opening
results from histonet archives?
Thank you,
Loriann
