What I have found is that if tissue is well cut and mounted from a waterbath
that is warm enough to spread the section out wrinkle free, then well dried
it usually stays on. If any of these steps are not taken you will have a
chance of the tissue falling off. Slides should not be dehydrated until you
are ready to stain them. However, we have not had problems staining slides
that were left in distilled water overnight. Just remember that if you want
food (tissue) removed from dishes you soak them in water.

Hi histonetters,
After a tissue is sectioned, hydrated and cleared what is a good method of
getting the tissue to stay 'attached' to the slide for subsequent procedures
such as staining and eventually mounting? I really appreciate all input!!
thx
