Daily work flow revamp

Greetings all,
Our lab is remodeling and we are looking at our daily
work flow. Not only are we remodeling but we are trying to merge several
different sites into one. I was hoping to get some input on how other
institutions run their day. Shifts?? I am curious about 2nd
& 3rd shift responsibilities ? Does any one work
ten hour days with 4 on 3 off????? Multiple fast runs??
