which organs do you try to stain ? How and how long are they fixed ?
We do a lot of stainings on mouse tissue with both polyclonal and
monoclonal Ab's (Dako ARK for the monoclonals). Since the tissue is so tiny
it might be overfixation can be a major problem.
Collagen might be difficult. We  invested a lot of time and energy to find
the right pretreatment to get it work on monkey tissue.
Hopefully some other histonetters out there can give you more
information....
