if  memory serves me right, several years ago the nsh recommended that a ht be required to cut no more than 100 blocks per day. i could be wrong.

I'll bet the ASCP has written about this, but one of my Pathologists asked
me how many blocks per hour are cut in our lab. Reluctant to push my staff,
I told him I'd "get back to him". Is there a guideline we could use? I will
time my staff tomorrow, but what is "too much" work? Cytologists are limited
as to how much they can do. Do we in Histo have anything like that?
