STAT REQUEST:

We are about to have a CAPinspection and was told by a
neighboring hospital who is already CAP approved that
outdated antibodies can be used if controls are
positive.  Is this true?  Those of you who have been
CAP approved, please respond.  Thanks for the imput.

By the way, we test the reactivity of each antibody
every four months if not ordered during this time. 
Also we document the extention on the worksheets when
we make the antibodies for another four months.
