Depends on what you're using it for, but I've always made aqueous solutions (usually saturated).

Could someone tell me how to make a 1% Lithium Carbonate solution?  I think that
there is suppose to be alcohol in it, but I can't find a recipe for how much.  I
need to make about 500 ml of solution.  Thanks.
