block/cassette markers
The cheapest is a black pensile. (we use Hist-O-Mark from BBC)
My personnel choice would be a cassette labeler. (looked at them at the
NSH)
The blocks are so nice to read.
We did use the Securline markers for our slides and I was not satisfied.
At one of the NSH meetings I picked up a marker from BBC. It looks like
a Securline marker, feels like a Securline marker but is called
"Hist-O-Label".
They do not dry out as fast and work well on slides.
Pacific Southwest Lab Equipment introduced a nice marking pen at the
last NSH meeting. It has a finer tip for labeling slides.
