I agree with you Aidan. And some people don't realize histology is a 
specified field of medical technology (probably those who don't have any 
degrees). A baccalaurete degree is at least required by ASCP for 
Histotechnologist (HTL) certification. A histo technician or HT may have a 
master's or even a PhD. 

There is dignity in any kind of work (not talking about criminal work), 
regardless of a "degree".
