That may be true in the bottom line of some professions. But regardless of
the fact, you would still start at the bottom of the salary scale, if you
were to leave one facility to go to another, unless you were hired for your
expertise. In ours this has been a debate for years, even here in Canada.

you guys just don't get it.  I have seen a lot of posting on here which the 
people were complaining about the pay.  I have just stated in my previous 
posts as to why that is.  Unfortunatly people took offense to the truth.  It

is not an untrue statement that if there was an educational requirement that

pay would be increased.

I have to admit in the time frame which I have been lurking here and
accepting ideas from others, I seem to have missed much of the venom most
people have discharged in regards to education, salaries, and private
placements. 
    Would it not be better to simply state that all of the people
working in Histotechnology, are there for a good reason.. they love it! The
degree obtained, or the post secondary education one received are useless
without the bench practicality that can only come with hands on experience..
I have known so called "educated" people shown absolute wonders from others
who they initially looked down on. We have all learned from people of
varying experience so lets go back to helping each other out..instead of
pricking holes.
