    Hot melt glue. Yes, I am serious. Years ago there was a short paper in
"Stain Technology" (now known as Biotechnique and Histochemistry) about using
hot melt glue at the corners of large plastic sections to hold them down. I
think they were sectioning lumbar vertebrae or some other big thing. If I can
find the exact reference I will pass it on to you.
    So go to Home Depot and get a hot melt glue gun and some glue sticks.

I am curious ...did the hot melt glue leave a backround stain on the slide?  Thanks.  Helen
