Churukian's "Manual" says 6 months for solutions of both dyes.
I think this may be rather conservative, having kept fast green FCF
solutions for several years without apparent deterioration.
I don't use safranine as much, but 2 year-old solutions don't seem
to me to behave any differently from new ones.
