Try long HEIR,  45 min pH6.0 citrate (ya 45 minutes!) on brain or colon l.
1:800 overnight staining at 4C, with with Dako CSA (tyramide
amplification).  Honestly,  i think this is excessive for any antibody,
but that is the protocol directly obtained from one of the researchers who
developed the marker.
