Barry:

We use the Leica glass coverslipper. At first we had some pretty serious
problems with air bubbles. It was finally determined that there was a
problem with the manufacturing of the pumps which was done in Australia. (I
think they have since moved that plant, perhaps to Germany?) They did
replace our machine and provided excellent service through the months of
initial problems. Since then we have had no major problems of any kind.
Just follow their recommendations on mountant and coverslips and you should
be happy with it.

I am currently evaluating both the Hacker and the Leica robotic glass
coverslippers. I'm looking for feedback regarding their use, dependability,
quality of slides produced, downtime, maintenance, etc. Any information
would
be greatly appreciated.

                                        Thanks
