RE: microtome freezing stage

From:Alan Bright <bright@dial.pipex.com>

Dear Mike,

I am sure you could get your old Bailey up and running again as the
thermoelectric modules for the freezing stage are readily available and the
components driving the thermoelectric modules should be easy to purchase. If
you have any problems I am sure:

Hacker Instruments Inc.

Fax. (973) 808-8281
e-mail: HACKERLAB@AOL.COM

Will be able to assist you, if not we will, as we have to manufacture and
supply thermoelectric modules for the freezing stages on some of our
microtomes and cryostats.

 Best Regards

Alan Bright

Does anyone have any recommendations (or warnings) on thermoelectric
freezing stages & controllers for cutting frozen specimens? Our 25 year
old Bailey finally died and the company is no longer in business. Many
thanks,
