Leica DSC

The Leica DSC is radical, isn't it Mike. I like the fact that there are
three different ways to face the block- you can let the sensor do it for you
and spin, you can use the coarse feed on the touch pad to position the block
and then let her spin, which throws shavings around a bit, or you can
position and advance the block with the coarse and fine feed and face the
block rocking up and down with either of the two manual knobs on either
side of the microtome. I guess with the foot pedal that makes FOUR! But I'm
not a foot pedal person. Still, Richard, ergonomically you can vary your
technique to minimized injury from repetition. Vinnie, I'll ask the Leica
rep about problems/modifications when she visits this week to talk tissue
processors. Its a little hard to clean too but really I have had no
problems. Its pretty cool.
