Frozen tissue/fixation/paraffin processing
From: | Gayle Callis <uvsgc@montana.edu> |
Drop frozen tissue directly into fixative, it will thaw and fix at the same
time. Have done this with better success than taking frozen tissues, let
them thaw, then drop into fixative. If the tissue is embedded in OCT, the
water in NBF will dissolve it, so change NBF after tissue is thawed to have
pure NBF for remainder of fixation.
