There are several metal enhanced DAB kits, Pierce (through Fisher) sells an
Enhanced DAB kit that works well, it contains buffer and DAB mixture, very
fast, clean and easiest to use. 

Zymed has an excellent kit also with three steps.  Vector DAB kit supplies
metal enhancer solution with their kit.

Others may be available, the kit systems are very clean and you don't have
to mess with making up heavy metal solutions. 

All work well and very convenient, particularly the Pierce kit, two
solutions, and you are done, producing a black end product.  Go easy on the
hematoxylin, it can still mask immunostaining IF the DAB is delicate and
not very dark.
