Bonnie and Patty and Netters- I agree with Bonnie's comments about the
Artisan.  I inherited my machine and didn't have to do cost analysis but in
our hands, it allows one tech to prepare 60 surgical blocks per day and
still perform multiple beautifully stained immuno's and GMS, AFB, PAS, MUCI,
etc. The reagents are somewhat expensive, but it eliminates one FTE.
