CD4 1F6
From: | Mark Elliott <MElliott@mrl.ubc.ca> |
Tim Coskran was asking about CD4 1F6 staining. We are working
with human lung tissue and had problems with retaining the tissue
on the slides while doing antigen retreival. We autoclave in the
EDTA buffer as recommended but would loose a lot of the tissue.
Based on a tip on the Histonet at the time, we started to coat the
sections with nitrocellulose/Colloidin/Parlodion during the
rehydration steps and have drastically reduced the amount of tissue
lost. You still may loose a little but nothing comparable to what we
lost without the coating. The method is in John Keirnan's book (not
sure of edition number but it had a green cover).
