What is the "product" that stains blue in the cartilage when you do an
Alcian Blue/ Alizarin red stain? I know the blue is cartilage, if you can
see a structure i.e. rib without stain what would you think was missing from
the tissue (other than the stain) to cause no staining? It's a developmental
thing...what is not being produced? thanks for any constructive input Anita
