Procedure for Silane coated slides

Materials:
Silane  (3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane)
Acetone
Distilled Water
Slides
Staining racks
Staining dished

Procedure:
1--Place slides in staining racks
2--Acetone--2 minutes
3--2% Silane solution  (5ml Silane to 250ml Acetone)
4--Distilled water--5 dips
5--Distilled water--5 dips
6--Distilled water--5 dips
7--Allow slides to air dry at room temp overnight
   (does better than drying in oven)
8--Place slides in slide box
