The Cerner System has this system to prevent issuing different accession 
numbers to the same patient who has several specimens submitted on the same 
day.  It will ask if we want to use the existing accession number or if we 
wish to issue a new one.  In building our database we were able to turn the 
"flag" on or off for this option.  Pearl
