Robbin:

Try 0.2% Osmium tetroxide in nanopure water for 30 seconds at room
temperature, after complete removal of your unreacted DAB with Nanopure
water (6 changes).  Dispose properly, counterstain, dehydrate, clear and
mount as usual.  Some use PBS in place of the water and get equal results.
