Judith,
I have never hearof "accession number check letters", but our computer
system, Meditech, does tell us when we try to enter a patient that has
already been entered for that day. It has come in handy in reducing
accessioning errors. I am interested in finding out about this "accession
number check letters". It sounds like it could be helpful?
Hazel
