BD Biosciences (formerly Becton Dickinson Microbiology Systems) is building a
comprehensive program in clinical diagnostics for oncology through our alliance
with Millennium Predictive Medicine, the leader in functional genomics for
diagnostics.  We are seeking several highly motivated and talented researchers
to help design, create and develop screening and staging tests for a wide
variety of cancers.  These commercial systems will utilize tumor markers
arising
from our genomic partnership with Millennium Predictive Medicine and will guide
physicians and pathologists in the effective treatment of cancer patients by
providing individualized diagnostic and prognostic information.

Qualifications:  PhD, MD, MS or Bs with 2-5 years of experience in cell
biology,
molecular biology, biochemistry, pathology, physiology or related fields is
required along with a proven trck record (publication list) demonstrating
comprehensive knowledge of cancer biology and relevant experimental techniques.
First-hand experience with slide-based techniques like immunohistochemistry, in
situ hybridization, FISH, cytogenetics, fluorescent microscopy or confocal
microscopy is a plus.  Experience  with corresponding methods for the
collection
and processing of tissue is also a plus.
