I wanted to let people know of this stain Vital New Red (CI 25380) for
eosinophil staining in my hands it stains monkey and most likely human
eosinophil a nice bright red, but mouse eosinophil stain inconsistently and
if they stain it is a weaker red. The Article is in the Journal of
Histotechnology by J.P.Duffy, Vol 16/ No. 2/June 1993.
So if your working with human tissue and want to stain eos this might be a
quick and easy way. by the way I used the vital new red at 10g/L which was
the concentration given by one of the reference and not the 0.1g/L as
stated in the article.
