A colleague would like to examine the optical properties of rat stomach by
firing a laser through a sample of the tissue held between two glass slides.
He needs to examine mucosa and submucosa separately. Is there a way to
process the sample to wax and cut sections that contain only mucosa? Is it
possible to separate the mucosa from the submucosa using a salt/HCl solution
as with 'salt-split skin'? Thanks for any help in advance.
