Hello Cheryl,

I have used several different models of Leica automated microtomes for over
16 years and currently have 2 2065's for sectioning GMA blocks and have
always been happy with microtomes no matter which model it was. My current
microtomes were demo units (which may save you even more money), 1 I have
had for 3 years and the other 1 year.

Each microtome has different features that suit each tech. It is too bad
that the one you really prefer must be justified by hearing "bad" things
regarding the other brands. It should be the equipment that you feel most
comfortable with. Let Zeiss know the price difference or maybe they too
have demo unit.

Hope this helps.
Regards,
Cathy
