disposable knife holder for Bright 5040

From:Gayle Callis <uvsgc@msu.oscs.montana.edu>

There are some insert styles (mimic c profile steel knives) that should
work, as for working with antiroll devices, others would have better info -
a brush technic person myself, antiroll plates are thing of the past. These
are universal holders that work in all types of micrtomes and cryostats.

Triangle Biomedical Systems has a knife holder for TBS coated blades (they
have another holder for their Shur Sharp blades which are smaller in depth
than a standard Accuedge, Shandon, Duraedge, or Leica blade). Contact Jan
Minshew at janminshew@AOL.com to get more particulars, she is the
TBS/Olympus microtomy expert, and could steer you in the right direction on
catalog numbers. You can then order through Fisher, VWR, etc.
