This is in regard to the statement about being afraid to use Harris
hematoxylin.  I have three containers of Harris brand right now.  They are
from Surgipath, Fisher, and Shandon and none of them have mercuric oxide or
any other mercury compound in them anymore.  They are labeled as now made
with some other safer chemical.   We can therefore dispose of them down the
drain when we are changing solutions.
