Re: Florida state license testing

From:Dale Denise Hardy <DHardy@health-first.org>

Greeting from Florida where even when it's cold, it's warm.
Here is the web address in regard to obtaining a Florida state license:
www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa
There are two categories - Histotechnician & Histotechnologist. Retesting is not necessary as Florida now recognizes ASCP. The state wants documentation of your education, certification, training and experience. An AIDS education process is required, however several commercial packets are available. The entire process takes approximately 30 days.
Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida currently has an opening for second shift. The hours are somewhat negotiable (11:30 - 8:00 pm/2:00 - 10:00 pm) and the position carries relocation, sign-on bonus, no weekends or call. Salary is competitive with the market rate and the cost of living is still reasonable (check the internet cost of living index web sites). Best of all (for me) is the beach side location. We're currently in the process of building a great team so let me know if there are any interested parties. Should be pretty appealing this time of year?
Stay warm ...
