RE: How to send frozen sections ??

From:"Morken, Tim" <tim9@cdc.gov>

When I worked in Saudi Arabia we sometimes sent frozen section slides to the
US. We put the slides in plasitic slide holders and wrapped those with
aluminum foil and then packed them in dry ice (frozen CO2). One
consideration is that dry ice will only last about three-four days in
packaging and we sometimes arranged for the shipper (We used DHL or FedEx)
to replenish the dry ice after three days.

Subject: How to send frozen sections ??

Dear Histonetters,

maybe a very simple question: I should send slides with frozen sections
abroad. Now I worry about how to pack them so they will arrive without any
damages.
Any ideas ?

Thanks a lot,
Antje
