A big THANK YOU to all who responded to my Ki-67 inquiry before
the holidays.
One person suggested that I check with BioGenex for a Ki-67 antibody
that works on canine tissue. I called BioGenex Tech. support and
found a person that was most helpful, Maria. She suggested their
MIB-1 and offered to send me a pre-diluted sample to try. Maria also
suggested that I double the antigen retrieval time that I normally
use. I am happy to report that the stain was successful and I am
anxiously awaiting my order from BioGenex for more antibody. The only
change that I made in my "normal" protocal was to change the antigen
reteival- Steam HIER from 20 minutes to 40 minutes with the usual 5
minute cooling before staining.
Thanks again to everyone for your help and support. I hope that the
info I am providing will be useful to someone else.
Kathy

The worker who's never said "Thank
God it's Friday," probably never
really worked.
