We are interested in invasion assays for fibroblasts
in collagenic matrices. For this we want to make a
collagen gel, seed fibroblasts onto the surface of the
polymerized gels, incubate them, fix the gels  and
look for the cells, which are invaded into the gel.
Therefore I'm looking for a suitable method to detect
the cells in the gels and to measure the migration
distance of the fibroblasts.
Is there anyone who has experiance with such an assay
and can give us some hints doing this?
