Alk 1 Protein

Jim Fessler,

We currently use this antibody just about daily so I will provide you with
an outline of our protocol and with a few adaptations you should be able to
get it up and running in your lab. Antigen retrieval is necessary using
Dako's Target Retrieval Solution (Citrate) for 25 minutes (we use a
steamer)---allow sections to cool in buffer for about 15 minutes. Rinse
well with distilled water, block endogenous peroxidase, universal blocking
reagent (we use Power Block from BioGenex for 5 minutes @ rt), we
avidin/biotin block (may not be necessary for you---depends on the type of
tissue), incubate in primary for 30 minutes @ rt, link (secondary),
HRP-label, AEC. Times in secondary, etc. will have to be determined
depending on what you use (LSAB 2, etc.).
If you have any other questions please feel free to e-mail me. Hope this
helps.
