I have an article by Braak and Braak (Brain Pathology 1:213-216. 1991)
which demonstrates amyloid deposits and neurofibrillary changes using a
combination Campbell/Gallyas stain. I wrote up a one page protocol which I
could fax to you directly if you wish. I did the stain a few times, and
recall the slides developing in 3-5 minutes, although the article states
that development can take from 5-30 minutes, depending on the tissue. Is
your tissue old, or are you unsure about how it was processed. This could
affect development times. Reply directly to me if you want me to fax you my
protocol.
