TTF-1 is expressed in epithelial cells of the thyroid gland and the
lung.Nuclei from liver, stomach, pancreas, small
intestine,colon,kidney,breast,skin, testes, pituitary, prostate, and
adrenal glands are unreative. TTF-1 is detected in Primary lung
adenocarcinoma and small cell carcinoma and is absent in colon and breast
carcinoma. Staining with TTF-1 is reported to be more specific than
anti-surfactant proteins A and B(SP-A, SP-B) in distinguishing between lung
and non-lung origin of a tumor. Biocare Medical 1-800-799-9499 or their
